Double Tension Compression hardware with line side rod type arcing

Arcing horns (Rod Type)are projecting conductors used to protect insulators or switch hardware on high voltage electric power transmission systems from damage during lightning strikes and other overvoltage phenomena.

Arcing horns provide a path for flashover to occur that bypasses the surface of the protected device. Horns are normally paired on either side of an insulator, one connected to the high voltage part and the other to ground, or at the breaking point of a switch contact.
Double Tension Compression Hardware can be used for Overhead Lines and Substations and can
achieve the highest breaking load,using Compression connection techniques.

Compression Hardware ensures proper connection/fitting. It helps in reducing power loss, hence increasing the electrical conductivity. These are rust free, having longer life than Bolted type, and are light in weight.
In case of any fault/damage, only the damaged portion is required to change.

Double Tension Hardware Fittings are installed where double strings of insulators are being used. Double Tension Compression Hardware are easy to install.
